Australia vs New Zealand 1st Test: Hazlewood sent Jeet Rawal (naught) to the pavilion in his first over but in his second over he was able to bowl only two balls and had to go out due to a stretch during the run up. Stork dismissed Tom Latham (one) in the first over of the innings.
Australia's heavy catch by Steve Smith and the superb bowling of Mitchell Starc kept Australia heavy on the second day of the first Test cricket match against New Zealand (Aus vs NZ) here on Friday. Smith caught Kane Williamson (34) waving his right side in the air at slip off Stork's ball, along with Ross Taylor (66 not out) to lift New Zealand from the initial setback. After this, the Kiwi team collapsed and on this day, they have scored 109 runs for five wickets till the end of the second day of the night match. Earlier, Australia scored 416 runs with the help of Marnus Labushane (143) for his third consecutive Test century and thus he is still 307 runs ahead of New Zealand.
New Zealand's hope now rests on Taylor, who added 76 runs for the third wicket with Williamson. BJ Watling, standing at the other end with him, has not opened the account yet. Smith's brilliant catch was the turning point as New Zealand lost three wickets within 20 runs and their score was 97 for five. Stork has taken four wickets for 31 runs. He dismissed Henry Nicholls (seven) and Neil Wagner (zero) as night night. Australia, however, missed the pace bowler Josh Hazlewood, who had to leave the field due to a muscle strain.
Hazlewood sent Jeet Rawal (naught) to the pavilion in his first over but in his second over he was able to bowl only two balls and had to go out due to a stretch during the run up. Stork dismissed Tom Latham (one) in the first over of the innings. Hw will be part of PSL Live as well.
Earlier, Labushane was the hero of the Australian innings, who batted fiercely for almost five seasons despite the scorching heat. When it seemed that he would be able to score more than 150 for the third time in a row, Wagner (four for 92) bowled him. Storck contributed 30 runs to Australia's lower-order batsmen.
